06th May 2018

A double-roundup! We have been manic in Yorkshire! with five groups out over two weekends it has been fantastic to experience this iconic walking challenge with some many new and familiar faces. It wasn’t all about the Yorkshire Three Peaks though as we had our monthly open group heading up Snowdon for a stunning sunset on Saturday evening.

Client Feedback and Reviews – April 2018

01st May 2018 / ,

Firstly, thank you to everyone who attended a skills course or a guided walk over April. It was fantastic to see so many new faces as well as many returning from last year. April was pretty full on! The first month of the season is always fast-paced and it was great to get going after a long, hard winter. We would like to thank everyone for attending and also for all the fantastic feedback. Rather than share them individually on social media we thought a summary of our favourite at the end of the every month would be a great idea.

Weekly Roundup – Scorcher in the Lakes

23rd April 2018

We moan when its wet and we moan when it’s too hot. This weekend it was too hot!

However, the heat didn’t stop our adventurous summiting 10 summits on the Coledale 10 Peak Challenge in the beautiful Lake District. Luckily a cool breeze on the summit took the edge off the heat and it turned out to be one of the best days walking we have ever had in the Lakes. The views were simply stunning…and it wasn’t too bad in Snowdonia either.

Coledale 10 Peak Challenge April 2018 Casuey Pike

Coledale 10 Peak Challenge  The Coledale Challenge is a big day! 10 summits (Wainwrights), 13-miles and a whopping 1,800m+ of ascent. That’s a big day! And in the warm conditions it only made the challenge tougher. 22 clients took on...

Moel Siabod and the Daer Ddu Ridge – In Pictures

21st April 2018

When it comes to short and exhilarating mountain days in Snowdonia, then the ascent of Moel Siabod via the Daear Ddu Ridge has to be at the top of the list. Quiet, challenging, exciting with unbelievable views, the Black Earth Ridge is an easy grade 1 scramble that really delivers in every way. The Daear Ddu Ridge is less crowded than the popular Snowdon and Glyderau ridges, giving you the opportunity to escape the masses and enjoy a peaceful scramble on one of Snowdonia’s hidden gems. Moel Siabod and the Daear Ddu Ridge, in our opinion, is the best ridge for those who want to gain some experience and tackle their first grade 1 scramble.

Moel Siabod, Snowdonia

The Daear Ddu ridge is located on Moel Siabod’s eastern side; an easy 3km walk from the small village of Pont Cyfyng near Capel Curig. The easy to follow path takes you through beautiful woodland and along the Afon Llugwy...
