Client Feedback and Reviews – April 2018

01st May 2018 / ,

Firstly, thank you to everyone who attended a skills course or a guided walk over April. It was fantastic to see so many new faces as well as many returning from last year. April was pretty full on! The first month of the season is always fast-paced and it was great to get going after a long, hard winter. We would like to thank everyone for attending and also for all the fantastic feedback. Rather than share them individually on social media we thought a summary of our favourite at the end of the every month would be a great idea.

Discover Scrambling Course

This was my second walk with Mountain Walks fantastic experience from booking to the event well organised, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.

Aneurin Davies, Grasmere Walking Weekend

Very well organised. Very friendly. Very knowledgeable and very encouraging. A great group of people to walk with and all respected each other’s pace.

Amy Robinson, Snowdon Daytime Guided Walk

If you want to feel safe navigating in the mountains and gain confidence in your surroundings whatever the weather this course is ideally suited and very well led with small groups, Brilliant!

Robert Usher, Navigation Course

Doing the Snowdon Moonlight Guided Walk is one of the best ways to experience Snowdon. You get to enjoy the climb during the day and take fantastic pictures then enjoy the sunset from the summit with everyone. I’d highly recommend this walk; the guides were so helpful and gave us plenty of information all the way through. I particularly enjoyed being able to walk as a group and not be separated, it made the journey that much more fun!

Jo Hamm, Snowdon Moonlight Guided Walk

Having completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks under the guidance of Mountain Walks, I can say with complete confidence that my experience was a great one. If you’re a novice or a seasoned hiker, I can see unrivalled benefits of having an experienced guide by your side every step of your journey. They implement conversation, humour and ensure a confidence and safety in which would be lacking on first time solo expeditions. Thank you for a brilliant experience that will stay with me. Until the next time!…

Will Brodie, Yorkshire Three Peaks

A great experience even for the inexperienced climber. From the moment we booked we got loads of information about the walk and ongoing updates about it. The guides were very friendly and helpful on the day, we had Beth with us for most of our climb and she was so patient and lovely and kept telling us little facts about things. Really interesting. The guides stayed with us all the way through and made sure we weren’t pushing ourselves too hard too. It’s was a really uplifting experience

Susan Lenehan, Snowdon Moonlight Guided Walk

Mountain Walks Testimonial Bubble 1What a great course, have learnt so much and now have the confidence to venture out into the mountains by myself.

Allie Evans, Hillwalking Workshop

This is without question a highly organised team. The information prior to the walk is accurate and the guides are both welcoming and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company for those not wanting to walk alone or those in need of a bit more confidence to tackle the mountains. An excellent day out and I can’t wait to get back.

Petra Schofield, Discover the Carneddau

A fantastic experience from the moment we booked through to completing the walk. Our guide, Jo, was lovely and demonstrated a passion and comprehensive knowledge for walking and the local area. Jo made the walk that much more enjoyable by taking the time to get to know everyone along the way. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we’ll certainly be planning to return in the near future. Thank you.

Sam Castro, Discover the Carneddau

My first time using Mountain Walks. Very well organised in terms of information provided prior to the event, which included information on car parking, food, clothing. Also a few days before the event we were provided with information about the weather forecast and any additional clothing we should take in preparation, very useful. The leader was very knowledgeable of the area and the names of peaks/lakes we could see in the distance. All staff were friendly and organised, very impressed.

Sarah Lancaster, The Ullswater Way

Very well organised walks. The guides helped make the day memorable. They were friendly and encouraging throughout, showing a great passion for their work. They were knowledgeable sharing interesting information on the local area and also how best to complete the activity. I would recommend Mountain Walks to anyone wishing to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks or similar walks.

Vicky Hill, Yorkshire Three Peaks

Most rewarding day of our lives! Highly recommend Mountain Walks. All the aches and pain are worth the laughter and support from this great team.
