Weekly Roundup – Lakes Adventures and Snowdonia Skills

31st May 2018

The bank holiday weekends can be extremely busy in the Lake District and Snowdonia which is why we had groups out mid-week on our Lake District walks. A small group took on the Coledale 10 Peak Challenge and a larger group had a challenging distance walk around Ullswater…in the rain!

Coledale 10 Peak Challenge Group May

Coledale 10 Peak Challenge Mid-week walks are so quiet and its always a pleasure to be guiding groups when the mountains are so peaceful. On Thursday nine clients joined us to take on the Coledale 10 Peak Challenge which had...

Climb Snowdon Via The Pyg Track and Miners Track

31st May 2018

The Pyg Track is a classic hillwalking route to the summit of Snowdon in Snowdonia. Short, scenic, steeped in history and with a tough final ascent. The Pyg Track is the shortest route to the top of Snowdon with the least amount of vertical ascent (but still a tough walk). The Pyg Track is simple to follow and well maintained making this a good route for less experienced hillwalkers. The scenery on the Pyg Track is possibly the best of any of the other routes, rivalled only by the Watkin Path. The Miners Track gives you a slightly different descent as well and takes you down to the impressive Snowdon lakes.

The whole team were out ensuring everyone had a fantastic experience in the mountains, and what an awesome job they did. A massive thank you to everyone who took part in events over the week and of course to our excellent team of guides and instructors.

Weekly Roundup – Views Galore!

15th May 2018

The British heatwave continues in to the middle of May. The Lake District has been blessed with sunshine making the walks pretty tough going. However, the views have been very special…so we can’t complain too much. Similar weather in Snowdonia on Saturday but a complete change in conditions meant a tough end to the Hillwalking Workshop.

Grasmere Guided Walk Group

The highlight of the week had to be our first ever Great Langdale Challenge. We were really excited and a little nervous to see how the walk goes and thankfully the feedback has been fantastic. The Great Langdale Challenge One...
